THE PARTNERS

 LOPE L. BATO, JR., CPA, MBA, CICA, CrFA, joined SGV & Co. in 1987 and left in 1992 to engage in public practice. During the five-year engagement with SGV, Mr. Bato was exposed to various training and actual engagements in financial auditing, management services and business consulting. He was also involved in tax consulting and corporate secretarial services during his stint with SGV. While practicing the profession he held various position in some private companies such as President and CEO at a local rural bank for almost 15 years (1998-2012) and President of a Microfinance Foundation for 10 years until 2012. He has been actively involved with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) having served as Member of the National Board of Directors and National Vice President for Public Practice, National Sectoral Council Member for Public Practice Sector and President of PICPA Cagayan de Oro – Misamis Oriental Chapter. He was past President of the PICPA CDO-Mis. Or. Foundation, Inc. and past President of the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP Manila) – Northern Mindanao Chapter. He has been recognized as Most Outstanding PICPA member in 2006, PICPA Honorary Life Member in 2010 and Outstanding Alumni of MSU-IIT in the field of banking and finance in 2009.
